The End Of The Universe: Scientific Theories And Possibilities All Tied Up

In 7 billion years, as the story goes, the universe will eventually give way and all matter as we know it will disappear and finally conclude. The story of the universe has had many chapters, plot twists and action scenes but the fate of the epilogue is yet to be told. Feel free to explore these theories and possibilities and then find out the most accurate post script for this intergalactic novel.

Most Inaccurate: Nuclear Space War

Possibly the most untrue of these interstellar stories is the nuclear space war. Theory tells that as humans conquer the universe, we will take off with unwanted alien species into a space war. Eventually everyone will get so angry that they will launch weapons even more powerful than nuclear bombs, destroying everything in its path. The afterlash will be so deadly everything crossing its icy finger will immediately blow up or turn unsafe for use. For example, chemicals could get into spaceships and clog up the mechanisms, meaning if any cog turns they could be released into the cockpit.

Inaccurate: The Big Crunch

Many famously say that the universe will end in what is known as the Big Crunch. During this process, the universe will get so big too much matter is created, reversing dark matter's effect of expanding spacetime. While this will take possibly millions of years, everything in its terrifying wake will be immediately disintegrated in a force 100 times more than a nuclear war.

Realistic: The Big Freeze (Also Known As The Heat Death)

It is thought that as the universe continues to expand, matter will be so far spread out that even supermassive heat-producing objects like stars or even black holes (they're hot as they suck up all heat and light) will be far away from everything. Thus, all life and matter will freeze and die.

Most Realistic: The Big Rip

The most likely of these space sentences is what is known as the Big Rip. It is said that as the universe continues to spread out and expand, it will start to split apart, separating matter and also causing the Big Freeze. Soon everything will be destroyed in two and nothing more will be able to be created.
