The amazing planet Chelrides has always been a vibrant and zany place. Our story starts at the statue of Earl Adekin, the brave aristocrat who fighted the terrible Theryll, a bloodthirsty swamp monster, in a brutal battle to survive. In the end, Adekin won, but Theryll still lurks in the darkness...
As a celebration of this victory, a huge 150-metre statue of Adekin was built out of the precious glowing stone Valerylite and the figure still attracts many tourists today, 1000 years later.
On Adekin's birthday, August 6th, flashy flying Cord cars take to the skies in an epic airborne parade. On that day, coincidentally, the two suns of Chelrides shine bright, as a symbol of glory in the sky. The dark matter stars that surround it reflect the light and everything glows a warm, cosy red.
But the celebration also attracts monsters. The vicious Murkghoul, a long, huge, legless, beast awakes from his den because of the light everywhere. But everyone stays calm as he will go when he sees the statue of earl Adekin, because legless dragons hate swamp monsters.
