Cooking: How To Make A Raspberry And Pear Compote

Follow the steps below to make a healthy fruit meal for all of the family.

Firstly, get some frozen raspberries.

Cook them in the microwave for about 30 seconds or more if it needs them. By the end they should be completely defrosted.

Whilst they're cooking, skin 3 pears.

Cut them up into small cubes.

Mush them up with a fork.

Do the same with the raspberries.

Mix them together in a bowl.

Pour some water into a kettle.

Get a spoonful of sugar.

Once done, mix them together and wait for the sugar to melt.

Put them all in a bowl and mix.

Put them in the freezer and cool for an hour or more if needs be.

Enjoy your compote!

I'm not very confident with new recipes but your step by step guide makes it look easy. I shall certainly try it out as raspberries and pears are amongst my favourite fruits .

After this I'll stop being gobby, but here's what an unnamed viewer thought of the compote:

"It is delicious when frozen but even better as it starts to melt in your mouth. As an extra treat, serve with Greek yoghurt and honey."

Tip: To eat, it doesn't need to be completely frozen.
